I have harboured thoughts of becoming a middle-aged digital nomad for years (I didn't want the middle aged bit in particular, but the longer I waited, the more it became inevitable!). I now live in Italy, having finally grown my 'location independent' business to the point at which I could sustain a life outside the UK.
